Feature Request - Bulk Update Attributes Tool

asked on May 11, 2020

Hi All,

Would it be possible to develop a tool of some kind for bulk updating attributes?

It's possible manually through SQL I can see, but don't really like executing update statements directly on the DB wherever possible.

Use cases are when updating default volumes en masse or default templates etc. It would be useful to have a tool to do this.

Cheers!

Does anyone know how you could do this directly in SQL as a workaround?

I would imagine it could be done.  The user attributes are stored in the "trustee_attr" table in the repository's SQL database.  I'm hesitant though to mess with the SQL tables directly for something like this so I might check to see if there was a way to do it via an SDK script instead.

Agreed.  I have a need for this at many customers where they want to apply changes to hundreds/thousands of accounts.  I know it can be done via custom development but we need an out-of-the-box way to handle this.

Is there any update from Laserfiche on this?

Cheers!
