How does the data for an entry to be OCR'ed get to the DCC worker?

Is the data for entry retrieved by the scheduler and sent to the worker, or is the worker going to the repository server to retrieve the entry's data directly?

DCC retrieves pages from the repository and writes the text back after OCRing images.

So the data doesn't pass through the scheduler?

Correct. The DCC Scheduler tells the DCC Worker what entry to fetch from the repository. The DCC Worker then communicates with Laserfiche Server directly.
