Question

if you unpublish a form, can you control what the message when a person goes to the unpublished link says?

asked on April 27, 2020

We have a form with a deadline.  At the time of the deadline, my users want to unpublish the link.  Is there a way to control the message on an unpublished link?

Instead of unpublishing the process, you can create an entirely new form with just a custom HTML field saying the submission deadline has passed (and whatever else you'd like to say). You can also hide the submit button using JS so that form cannot be submitted. In the message start event, replace the original starting form with your new form and any user who goes to that URL will see the message.
