Question

Question

One path of workflow creates duplicate folders.

asked on April 24, 2020

I have a strange issue I have been trying to figure out for a while now.   I have a workflow that moves Employee folders into either an Active or Inactive folder then builds the employee folders under them.    For some reason the Active side works fine, however the inactive side will create other folders for the employee with a number at the end.  There is only one workflow and both paths are identical so I am confused as to what is causing this issue.

Your changes in that branch are likely triggering other workflow rules or possibly this one. Try an instance search to see if you have more than you expect. And take a look at the events coming into the Subscriber Trace to see how the move and change events generated as the document goes through that branch evaluate against the existing starting rules.

Hi Daren,

Try using 'Track Tokens' tool at the end of the workflow to get the idea of which token store which value. Hope this will help you to troubleshoot this issue.
