Question

Save to Repository Service Task and save PDF in current directory

asked on April 23, 2020

Hello,

I am trying to save my pdf to the folder where I am launching my task from, but I can't find anything helpful in the dynamic helpers under the Path field in Save to Repository Service Task .  I have access to some of the field variables on the folder because I am passing them along but there is no field on the folder of its actual path and I would rather not add that as a field.  I am thinking about using workflow to do a search based on the field variables I have access to and move the file with workflow but was wondering if there is something I am missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Trevor

Got it, Trevor. Yes, your right for Folder "Path" token is not available, while it is available for File "File Path". In the case of Folder, you can pass Entry ID and then use Entry ID in a workflow to get the path.

Hi Trevor, Can you help me understand "folder where I am launching my task from"? Not sure if you're launching your task from Forms -> Start Process?

Chandresh,

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  In forms, I created the launch task from Options -> Display and added a tab, that displays on folders and sub folders.  I am passing some of the fields from the folder with a ? and &s in the URL.
