Question

Question

watermark header and footer

asked on April 20, 2020

Hi,

I am hoping that someone can explain why we see the watermark header and footer on everything when browsing if they are turned on. Shouldn't the watermark header and footer only appear when the watermark appears when exporting or printing? Users who are scanning and validating the quality of the images should not have anything on those images that could confuse matters.

We were drawn to the headers and footers because it seems that they are the only part of the watermark that can use tokens and we want the watermark to have a "signature" that would allow us to trace and validate authenticity, at least to some degree if questions arose.

Thank you,

Stuart

If they are watermarks associated with security tags then they are always displayed, I think.  I don't think other watermarks are displayed.

Nope, I was wrong.  It will display in the document viewer a watermark associated with any tag.

The watermarks I am referring to are Group watermarks and the problem is that the watermark Header and Footer display without the watermark when viewing the document in the system. This is when the watermark rightfully should not appear and doesn't but yet the watermark header and footer are still appearing.

Thank you for any assistance.
