Hi Barry,

A quick point of clarification: the Admin Guide link James posted is for Laserfiche Volume Encryption, which we do not actually recommend you use for "live" volumes. Its use case is more for securing volumes being moved from one place to another.

We definitely recommend using Full Disk Encryption (FDE) methods such as Bitlocker to secure the underlying storage hosting your live volumes! FDE is "transparent" to the application and doesn't change how Laserfiche interacts with the file system.
