transfer uploaded files from one form to another

I have a file that is uploaded in one form. I want to have that file be pre-loaded into a "file upload" control in another form. 

Can this be done without saving to the repository?

Emile, are both forms in the same business process?  If so, you could pass the variable for the file import to the second form.

I tried that but it did not work. However, I tried it in an existing process which had a lot of custom javascript. So I will give it a try on a new test process. Thanks.
