Dragging PDFs out of LF Client

We have a custom application we can drop PDFs onto from Windows Explorer and we can drag PDFs out of the LF client (10.2) to Windows Explorer, but not directly from LF client to application (get red circle/slash)... is that a constraint of LF client or the application?

That's likely a constraint of Windows itself. Can you do this with any other application?

I just tried dropping a PDF out of LF onto Acrobat Pro itself... no joy.

Try doing it between two applications that are not Laserfiche

Yeah, no luck there either... could drag a PDF out of an Outlook email msg to the desktop, but not to our custom app nor Adobe Acrobat...
