How to print the repository as a list

asked on April 6, 2020

Is there a way to save the structure of your repository as a list? For example, I just want to export something that shows all folders and subfolders in the repository (not the content of those folders). Is that possible?

Hi Kerri,

In the windows client there is a "Print File Plan" option under the Records menu. I've not used it so I'm not sure if it can be customized, but this should  approximate what you're after. Plus you could always edit the report after running it to pare down information or push it into a spreadsheet to manipulate the data.

The other option would be to use the Windows snipping tool and capture the folder tree in the client.

Probably the easiest way to do this would be by querying the sql table directly, but that still requires knowledge of sql and access to the database. You would be interested in the "toc" table.

Thank you both for the suggestions!
