Question

Authentication Modification - Mappings

asked on April 1, 2020

Hi,

I am currently using Laserfiche 10.3.1 and when I use audit trail to identify the Windows Accounts that were added or removed, the Authentication Modification column only shows numbers (0, 1, 2 and 3).

However, the description in the Account Events page says that a description would be displayed (Grant Authorization, Revoke Granted Authorization, etc). Am I missing something? How can I find out what each number means?

The event type selected is "Configure Windows Authentication" and there is no filter.

Thank you!

I've filed a bug for this. The logic is a little complicated, but:

  • For Group Membership events:
    • 0 means join
    • 1 means leave
  • For Trustee Association events:
    • 4 means an association was made
    • 5 means an association was unmade
  • For Windows Authentication events:
    • 0 means it was granted
    • 1 means it was denied
    • 2 means a grant was revoked
    • 3 means a deny was revoked

Does that make sense?

Thank you for your quick response. It makes sense and I have been testing different scenarios in lower environments and this helps understand the results.

Thank you!
