Question

Just received message: "data breach when logging in"

asked on March 26, 2020

Just received message:  "data breach when logging in" when logging in from home.  I logged off and then logged back in as my workflow user to make an options change.  If I change the password on this user, will all the workflows still be able to save to the Laserfiche respository?

This is not a Laserfiche error. You should contact your IT deparment immediately.

As far as changing the password goes, you need to put in redirects before the password is changed to ensure that workflows proceed uninterrupted.

Okay, thanks.  Sounds complicated.  This working remote is a bit painful.  I will let IT know.

Thanks, Miruna.  I changed the password to the workflow user and all other local users to something very much stronger.  Then spent four hours late evening and early morning to alter every workflow.  Everything is good now, I believe.

Thanks for the information on the redirects.  Good to know.  Went ahead and just changed them all, though, since the password will be permanent.  Figured I might as well just get it over with.  All good!
