Chromium needed for forms 10.4.3 is not installed

posted on March 23, 2020

In Forms version 10.4.3, in order to send documents to the repository, chromium is installed and my computer simply has not been able to install.

There are no errors in the installation or in the logs

I have tried multiple versions.

The smartscreen never accepts it, and even disabling it doesn't install.

Uninstalling my antivirus didn't work either.

Repairing my entire operating system made no difference either (Win 10).

Microsoft support does not know what it is.
LF Support does not know what it is.
Chromium does not have any type of support.

Hi, did this end up getting resolved?

We are getting the same error message?

You can use command line to install Chromium with log enabled to see what is the actual error:

Win_x64_706915_mini_installer.exe --system-level --verbose-logging --log-file="C:\chromiuminstall.log"

We had a similar issue with a client setup.  A full un/re-installation for Forms 10.4.3 was the only way we found to get Chromium to installed.

Thanks Shawn,

Everything is pointing to that I will have to format the computer. Maybe this friday.

What troubles me is the fact that they use chromium now, and there is no official support for chromium. So just think whats going to happen if this case in a final user server.
For example recently I had another issue with forms and direct approval and I call Microsoft support and they help me to debbug.

We noticed you already opened support case 208244 for this issue.  We will follow up this issue with the support case.
