Off-Site access to Start Process in Forms causes Uploads to be password protected

asked on March 20, 2020

HELP!  My new AP approval form is working great from the office where the servers are, but our AP Clerk is now trying to UPLOAD invoices into the form and is getting password protection notices on them.  She figured out if she put her user password in it would work, but now the person on the next User Task is also getting the password protection notice on the uploaded invoice and his user password does not work!

How did this password get onto these uploads?

The uploads are PDF files? You can refer tohttps://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/securing-pdfs-passwords.html#remove_password_security for how to remove the password security.

No, they are not pdf's.  I could make them pdf's if that is the only way to do it, however, we typically make sure any pdf's going into Laserfiche are turned into tiffs.

And for this new process, I instructed the users to send them to Laserfiche, then, when they need to upload them into a form, to drag them onto their desktop (after making sure they would save on the desktop as a tiff).

I will check into the link for removing the password security, however, will that make it so someone without a LF license can see them?  I am also still looking into other options, including having our only remaining person working onsite be the person to upload these invoices into the AP process we just recently created for off-site workers.

OKAY, this has been resolved by putting the user on a VPN connection.
