Question

Quick Fields - template ZONE OCR fields hard to read

asked on March 11, 2020

Hello,  I am hoping someone can assist me with an issue we are having while using QF's.  We have a column with the date and when it OCR's the date it is very hard to read and correct.  Is there a way to program QF's to show the date either like the image below in Laserfiche or put some sort of carriage return after each date to verify it?  Once it is in LF we have locked down editing so it becomes very difficult to make sure it's correct.

Thank you,

Jen

Without more information (e.g., your session file and sample documents), it's difficult to determine exactly how to fix your issue.  I recommend working with your Solution Provider and possibly opening a case with Laserfiche Support.

I did experiment with a few different ideas in the software and was able to reproduce your issue when using OmniPage Zone OCR.  If this is what you're using, I found one solution that might work for you as well:

1) In your zone OCR process, click the Advanced Options link for your zone, set Single line to false, and Create multi-value token to True

2) When using the token, open the Token Editor (or Token Dialog) and configure it's Index to combine values with a Line Break:

3) Use Quick Fields Scanning when reviewing documents (optional, but it may help)
