External url in fields

Would it be possible to save a hyperlink as a template field? Our users are asking for a way to get to an external site from LF web client.

You can put anything you want in a text field, hyperlinks included. The web client doesn't handle urls differently than any other piece of text, so users would have to copy/paste.
