Form Excel Calculations

asked on March 4, 2020

Has anybody seen this before.
I am trying to calculate values across columns in a table using an excel calculation.
The first calculation works fine but when I add a new row the calculated column multiplies itself with the calculated column in the next row.

My formula i am using is

=SUM(INDEX(Supplier_Allocations.Jan,ROW()),INDEX(Supplier_Allocations.Feb,ROW()))

Everything looks good here...

I used the following calculation in the Allocated column and didn't see this multiplying issue. I used a currency field set to ZAR as well. I didn't change my locale to use , decimal separator however.

=SUM(INDEX(Table.Jan,ROW()),INDEX(Table.Feb,ROW()))

Do you have any other details about how to reproduce this? If you test it with number fields, does that work?

Are there any other calculations, default values or lookups in play here? Does adding another row to the table help? You might need to open a support case so we can take a look at your process specifically.

Hi Jared.

I tested with numeric fields as well and got the same result. I have tested this on 3 different computers and all got the same result.

No default values have been added.

What forms version are you using? I am using 10.4.1

I was on the latest 10.4.3. Let me see if there's a bug from that version you might be hitting.

Hi David,

I'm not able to reproduce your issue on Forms 10.4.1.164, can you open a support case for it when you have time? Please provide the following information in the case:

1. The exact version of Forms, including build number

2. The business process used to reproduce your issue

3. A short video to reproduce the issue

Regards
