Question

Max number of variables in a form

asked on February 28, 2020

I recently created a business process containing 13 forms and over 200 variables.  (It's not something that could be broken out at this time.) It is loading rather slowly especially in the Forms reporting tab.  What I'd like to find out is some of the answers to the following to better determine how to address this.

I appreciate the feedback from our LF community on this!

  1. Forms Maximums/Efficiency Questions
    1. What is the max number of variables supported in a single form?
    2. What is max number of variables supported in a business process?
    3. Seems number of variables are making report generator load extremely slowly.  Is there any way to speed this up or limit to a specific range of variables? i.e. variables with a prefix of NC-, SF-, Q-, etc.
    4. When replicating a form for use in later tasks in a business process, should the lookups also be replicated or should they not be replicated?
      1. Would expect this may be based on whether or not the fields should change in the later tasks.
      2. What is impact of having the lookups if they are not needed?  Page load time, etc.

Hello Michelle,

I see there has been no response to your post, but I wanted to see if you ever found the answer to:

What is the max number of variables supported in a single form?

We have a customer who has asked us the same thing.

Appreciate your feedback,

Jeff Curtis
