Is there a way to prevent this pop up from appearing? I'm pretty sure there's a way to "remember" your choice but we've experienced this with 2 separate clients wherein it's always asking to open the application

That looks like Chrome that you're using, in which case this thread has some suggestions. If that's not chrome, the term to search for is "protocol handler". It's totally controlled by the browser, we don't have any control over it.
I was told at the consultation bar by Laserfiche staff that if Web Tools is running, this will not pop up. We are also experiencing this pain point for our users.
You're right, I forgot to mention that. These "protocol handlers" are the old way that web client launched installed applications, the Web Tools Agent is the new way and can work without user interaction. It is available in Cloud and the newest self-hosted release. Marlon, are you not prompted to upgrade your Scanning or Office Plugin install?
We did the latest update, but it failed to properly install the Web Tools, so we have a meeting with our VAR and IT to get it working upcoming.
Thank you very much for the response Brian, as far as I can remember we did upgrade the plugin when prompted, but we'll double check it again. Thanks for the feedback as well Denny.
