asked on February 26, 2020 Show version history

Hey Fiche Community.

I have encountered a customer requirement that is quite unique and am wondering if any one else has come across this. The Scenario is that Table A has a collection of alphanumeric's that represent a product type

Table A:

I need a way to count these entries and collect them in a different table B:

If anyone can nudge me in the right direction that would be highly appreciated.

Hi Mike

Where does this table exist? Is it a DB Table? Forms?

Where is the Table you want to populate?

Hi Steve,

This sheet currently exists in excel, Users key in Table A and via excel formula, Table B is populated. The goal is to move this to Laserfiche Forms and for fill the same functions. Table B will be stored to a DB and from there be populated in subsequent forms.

Hi Mike

Yes, I can see this working in Forms.

The first Table the User will enter the data, maybe use a drop down list, to populates the fields.

In the second Table, in the accumulated value field, would use the COUNTIF formula, similar to Excel, to count the number of cells in the other table that contain those values. It’ll take a bit more work to get set up to accumulate through each of the columns but it will work.
