asked on February 19, 2020

I have a form with required metadata fields reverting back to blank after scanning and I have to repopulate before storing.

Could you provide more information or some pictures regarding the process in question? I am assuming you are talking about using Laserfiche scanning and the assigned template has required fields.

I open Laserfiche scanning to add documents with the template as show and enter in the top four fields.  The Name, SSN and status are all related to a database table associated with the Employee ID.

I scan the document(s) and the data represented by the tokens is displayed in the revision pane.

But after the document is scanned the fields are blank again waiting for metadata to be entered, as denoted by the required metadata error symbol.

What version of Laserfiche/Scanning are you using? I am not able to replicate it on my VM.

Are those fields dynamic or is it a list field?

It looks like only certain fields are clearing while others stay filled. Is that correct?

Laserfiche Scanning 10.3.1.306

These fields are stored in a table in a SQL database.  The information in these fields clear, but the others are being pulled from information stored in PeopleSoft.  I have other templates that don't have this issue, but they are pulling from a different table.

The only known issues I can find relating to this date back to version 9. Unless any other users have any ideas, at this point I would recommend either upgrading to the latest version that your server is compatible with or contacting your Solutions Provider to open a support case.
