Decoding/Decompressing Script contents in a workflow import file (.wfi)?

posted on February 7, 2020

I am not sure if anybody has the knowledge how Laserfiche encoding/encrypt workflow scripts/SDK scripts in its WFI file?  Reason for that, sometimes I need read some code other people written but don't want to import it into a workflow system.

sample in one WFI file looks like:

When you import, you have the option to open the workflow without publishing it.

This will ignore the starting rule(s) and will open the workflow definition in the Designer.

Ok thanks. This is one way of doing that.

As a programmer, we're getting used to source control which gives us clear picture of what have been changed over versions.

For workflow I can see there is version history in "workflow admin console" and can download each version in WFI. But to find changes in scripts/sdk scripts is way too much work by import every wfi into the workflow designer. That's why I am looking for a quick way of directly compare the wfi contents.

If Laserfiche can add functionality in this area, that would be great (for programmer like me).
