asked on February 6, 2020 Show version history

Just noticed today that whenever a file is imported with forward slashes in the filename the web client removes sections of the filename.

How do you get slashes in file names? Windows does not allow forward slashes or back slashes in file names. Are you typing them in the file name displayed in the import dialog?

Miruna,

I've updated the original title to reflect the problem and that is when importing a file that has a "/" in the filename the web client will remove sections of the filename. It's a problem because Laserfiche will allow you to rename an entry with the forward slash character in the name and if I am uploading a file with the character in the filename to add as a new version the web client will slice the filename and thus I am unable to add it as a new version.

Operating systems such as Apple allow the use of forward slashes in the filename.
