Forms Unused Variables Not Accurate - Possible Bug?

asked on January 24, 2020

Hello All,

I have done a quick search on Answers but didn't find anything about my issue (possible bug?)

I am revising a form that was built in Forms 10 (now on 10.4) and I am changing a number of the fields.  I removed all the fields I am not using anymore.  I want to keep it clean as possible so I also started to delete the unused variables.  I luckily caught myself before I deleted one that is actually in use on that form.

In my shot below I have  I have it showing unused variables.  However, the one variable I have left on the list is actually used on the form.  It is a checkbox that does not have a field label.

Does Forms consider a field unused if it doesn't have a label?

When you click on the cog next to the variable, it will show you what Forms the variable belongs to.

As well, it will prompt you that the Variable belongs to a form to confirm before deleting.

As a recommendation, If you don't want a label on the field to show, I'd suggest you use CSS to hide it as opposed to not naming your field (ie: #q1 label {display:none!important;}
