Question

Laserfiche Forms Configuration - You do not have sufficient rights to view this website.

asked on January 24, 2020

I cannot seem to be able to login to the Laserfiche form configuration page using my own credentials (http://localhost/FormsConfig/Configuration/)

I'm getting "You do not have sufficient rights to view this website" - see attached.

I can login using the service account I configure Laserfiche forms with but not with my personal account.

Personal account has the following privilleges

- Laserfiche Forms System Administrator

- Rights to SQL Server Database

- Laserfiche Server Administrator

I have had a good look but can't find anywhere how to set up which accounts have access to Forms Configuration.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

Sergio.

The Forms Administration User configured in Forms Configuration needs to have Named Repository Access Rights, so you need to ensure the account you are using has the Repository Trust Access and Repository User Selected in the Repository Users Settings.

The Forms Administrator does consume a license. Beyond this, you can use a Service Account for Forms to connect to repository to save documents without consuming a license.

Is your user part of the Windows Local Admins group on the IIS server machine?

Thanks for your help.

Are you referring to the Local Administrators group?

If so, yes. Both my account and service account are part of that same group.

In fact, both those account belong to the same groups:

- Laserfiche Directory Service Administrators

- Laserfiche Web Configuration Managers

- Administrators

- Remote Desktop Users

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sergio.

It seems to be working now that I have changed the Laserfiche Forms System Administrator (Under Forms Configuration/User Authentication) to the account I needed access from.

I had attempted this before but it didn't work, maybe services that needed to be restarted.

All good now. Thank you all for your help.
