The new functionality in the Email Archive Import Agent tool is really good; and being able to monitor multiple email inboxes with better reliability is great.
One thing that would be fantastically useful would be to have a monitored email inbox import rule being something like:
- Import when Outlook Category = "Import to Laserfiche"
That way a user could manually (or an Outlook rule could automatically) set a defined email cateogory (with colour changed) to cause the email to be imported.
This would give a user a visual clue as to which emails are (or at least should) be in the system when looking at an inbox. It would also allow them to trigger the import process by changing the Outlook category.
I'm looking into Outlook Quick Steps that do things like prepending reference codes to the subject that trigger something similar to the aove, but Outlook Categories would be better - especially as these don't change any values on the email (i.e. for compliance, amending the subject might not be ideal).
