Question

Default Attachment in Forms

asked on January 17, 2020

Afternoon All,

I have a forms process that after a request is submitted, a  Worker's Comp PDF with information needs to be sent to the initiator of the form. Is there a way to do this in forms? I know this could be done with a hyperlink but i want to try an actual attachment. I looked to see if you can add a "default attachment" to the email service task but doesn't look like that's an option.  I also looked to see if I could add a default file upload to the form and then use that in the email service task but that's a no go too.

Really trying to see if this is possible just in forms without involving Laserfiche workflow.

Hi Drew, this is an older thread but thought to check if you found a way to do this

I was thinking about a hidden file upload to be used under attachment via the variable but would be good to know if anyone has done this recently

Hi Priyanka!

Unfortunately, I was (and still unable) to find a way to accomplish this.  So, the process was adjusted and is a manual process.   I just double checked, and I don't see way to attach a document to an upload field either by default.

Thanks for the message Drew!

Thus far we haven't found an out of the box way to achieve this either.

I'm wanting to do this as well. Creating a benefits onboarding process that requires people to be provided with the file.
