Question

What is the url for the Cloud version of Weblink?

asked on January 10, 2020

I'm implementing a new Cloud customer and can't figure out how to get to Weblink.  I see the designer but I don't know the URL - anyone?

You need to grant the PublicPortalUser access to the repository. In Account Administration, you should be able to find the PublicPortalUser under Users & Groups. You just need to change their access to Allow

It is "https://portal.laserfiche.com/Portal/?repo=" + your repository id

Thanks Brian - below is the URL I am using for Cottage Grove WI

https://portal.laserfiche.com/Portal/?repo=933505043

And this is what I see

Is this a configuration issue or something else?

Thanks

Sandy

OK I just figured out I had the wrong URL.

https://portal.laserfiche.com/Portal/?repo=r-5f81038c

I believe the above is correct since r-5f81038c is what I see in the Weblink Designer.  But when I go to that URL I get "Access Denied" when I'm logged in as SupportUser which should have all the rights - see below

What am I missing?

Thanks

Sandy

Did you log out and back in after granting SupportUser WebLink Designer rights?

The portal URL is for the public not for the WebLink Designer. What are you trying to do?

Thank-you everyone I think I finally have this figured out.  Just to confirm the PublicPortalUser is the only one that can login using Weblink.  Everyone else must use the LF Cloud site.

Yes, that is correct!

Right. To put it another way, Portal never accepts user credentials, it always logs in to the repository as PublicPortalUser even if the user had logged into another cloud service.
