You know how we've mentioned at times about how we're going to improve the handling of the interoperability between the web client and the desktop applications you launch from it (Office, Scanning)? That's it. As of 10.4.2, downloading and installing desktop modules from the web client will also install this small agent service (you can see the process running on your local machine) that takes care of module detection and interaction in much more reliable ways then the browser plug-ins did, while also being browser agnostic. It also provides a starting framework for more direct local interaction possibilities with the web client in the future.

With this being the case, I am assuming that the ports listed need to be open between the Web Cleint Server and the end users machine for it to work correctly?

Hi Justin,

Any update on this? Is there any documentation on setup? We have a client that needs this and we are not able to get the two ports working.

You only need one port.

What is the actual problem you're seeing?
