Error HY000 When trying to update a Microsoft Access record

asked on January 9, 2020 Show version history

I keep getting this error whenever my workflow tries to update an existing record in my database. Any idea what causes this error?

It's an Access driver error, not a Laserfiche one. Google search indicates it's an Office known issue introduced by November's updates and Microsoft has a patch:

Miruna,

This is most likely my problem. Unfortunately, we are stuck with access 2003 for now so there is no fix for it. I'll create a workaround. Thank you for your help!

Since you're using it in Workflow, I would guess you have the Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable installed on the server rather than Office? The patch should still apply if that's the case.

Ziad,

Thank you. However I have already seen that post and I do have an MS Access Driver already added to the ODBC.

Hi Christopher,

Anything else showing within Event Viewer? any other information?

Thank you

No this is the only error. The workflow works fine creating records in the DB, but I get this error when it attempts to update already created records.

What element of the Workflow are you using to update the database?
