I notice that Laserfiche 10.5 was recently removed from the product roadmap. Can you provide any insight into the reason for this? Will it not be released in conjunction with Empower 2020?

Answer
Hi Chuck and Chris,
Laserfiche 10.5 is not currently on the listed roadmap because we are considering the best enhancements to make for it that will provide the highest value to our customers, but rest assured that the Laserfiche team is still dedicated to supporting and providing enhancements to on-premises customers. For example, we just released the 10.4.2 update, and we will also be releasing enhancements specifically to both Laserfiche Forms and identity management and authentication features in the Laserfiche Directory Server in the next couple months. We have also been working on enhancements specific to the 'on-premises' deployment such as enhanced support and easier deployment on private or public self-hosted Cloud sites, which were part of the 10.4.2 release. Basically, just because there isn't a 'suite-wide 10.5', doesn't mean that there are no updates coming for on-premises systems.
Are there specific items or updates you are particularly looking for?
Hi Justin,
Yes indeed, Outlook Email plug-in functionality and the ability to easily add documents to a Laserfiche form are the 2 big ones on the list. RPA for on-premise and an on-premise client dashboard follow shortly after that.
Any idea when any of these might be avaialble on premise?
Cheers!
Chris,
Can you expound in more detail on the 2 big requests you mention?
I've sent you a linked in request.
Hi Chris,
The outlook Email plug-in feature is definitely on the docket.

Laserfiche 10.4.2 was just released, so the chances of a major release such as 10.5 would be unlikely.
I also noticed that any future on premise releases have been removed completely. Not really good for anyone outside the USA who doesn't have the option of Laserfiche cloud. I'm guessing Empower this year will be totally centred around cloud.
Just because it was removed from the roadmap does not mean they aren't working on something for on-premise. The roadmap is to just give people an idea of when a new version will be coming. The 10.4.2 release was delayed, so I am sure that has pushed back whatever the next version will be. More than likely they are just re-evaluating when that would be. On-premise installations of Laserfiche are still an important aspect of the Laserfiche community.
Hopefully this question will get enough traction so the Laserfiche will weigh in.
Let's hope so Blake. Time will tell
