TRM Security Gap?

Hi All,

We implemented transparent records management in our system, and so far so good; however, I noticed that because the security for the records centre is set for all users to have read access to documents only, when confidential records are finalized all staff can now see them!

Does anyone how this is addressed?!

It sounds as if your security is working as designed. 

To address your question:

  1. put the confidential documents in a secure folder
  2. or... tag the confidential documents with a security tag with select trustees.

As Eric said, transparent records management does not security on its own. It is just a way of organizing documents so both users and record managers can get the best view for their roles. Laserfiche security still needs to be applied to control access to documents.
