Update forms data using workflow

I am attempting to update data in a forms field via workflow using the Set Business Process Variables workflow tool. When I look at the parameters, it is creating the correct info, but when I look at the variables under monitor, the information is not there. It would be nice if I could just use the first forms BP Instance ID, but I need this to be a variable so that I can link variables for reporting purposes.

Is the Forms task that calls this workflow set to wait for its completion?

I pulled this out of my post form workflow, put it in a separate workflow and added that task to the process designer. Setting it to wait for completion did the trick.

You might try and put in a "Track Tokens" activity in you workflow to check what the workflow thinks the tokens are.
