Question

Set Folder Permissions for Document Only in all Folders from the Root Folder down

asked on November 26, 2019

Hello,

I am working with a customer who would like to set at the Root of the Repository, Documents only view for a Group.

Is there a way to set this at the root, somehow, so as to not have to give the group, Folders, Sub-Folders, and Documents, or do they have to set this manually in each folder?

Thanks for any pointers,

Jeff Curtis

The "Documents Only" scope would apply to documents in the folder and all subsequent subfolders.

They'll still need to provide a way to get to the documents. If you only have document permissions you'll see documents in the root and in search results, but you would not be able to browse any folders.

There's a scope table in the Laserfiche Admin guide to explain how rights are inherited.
