Can workflow refresh just Field data after indexing?

Hello,

I am looking for a way to refresh a document after indexing field data with an activity and we need to refresh just the Field data pane without having the user click on refresh the session to see the updated values.

What would be a simplest way to achieve this? Do i have to go for a SDK Script or is there an activity available ?

No, Workflow does not run on the user's machine, so it cannot control their user interface.

Let me rephrase my question, i have created a workflow that updates field data after certain user inputs. It just updates the field values and doesn't refresh the page or the fields pane until you manually refresh the entire document page to see the updated values. I am looking for something simple to refresh the page or at least the Fields pane automatically without having the user to manually refresh! I have been looking to see if i can do SDK script that offers simple methods to achieve this. Please advise!

The client applications don't monitor for changes to the open document. There isn't really a way for you to trigger that refresh yourself.

Can you tell us more about the type of solution you're building? With some additional context we might be able to suggest an alternate approach.

Thank you for all your answers! we have dropped the idea of automatically triggering refresh since an external element is needed for this!
