Master License Expiration date

asked on November 21, 2019 Show version history

Does anyone know WHY we cannot see the Master License Expiration date anymore after upgrading to Rio 10.4?  We used to see it in LFDS > Overview where it shows a graphic of the number of licenses assigned/reserved and available.  I also checked Settings > General.  Cannot find it anywhere.

For Rio systems with subscription users like Community or Education Participants, Directory Server 10.4 supports expiration of just the subscription user licenses.

This is because the rest of the system is a perpetual system, so we want to expire only the parts of the system that are under a subscription licensing model.

Since we changed what is expiring, we also changed how we show that expiration on the overview page.

What you should see when the license is expiring far in the future:

When it's close to expiring, the site will draw more attention to it with red text on the Overview page and a site-wide banner.

Note that you might see the circle graphs if you are on 10.4.0 --- but the text should still be present.

If the user licenses expire, users with those licenses assigned will be temporarily treated as unlicensed users until the master license is renewed (assuming the subscription itself was also renewed)
