Importing document in Laserfiche

Dear Support, i have a scenario in which i will get the documents and it's metadata exported from Oracle DB to be imported to Laserfiche as currently the customer is using Oracle DB for archiving their documents, hence they will provide us metadata in .csv file and actual documents to be imported in Laserfiche, i need to know the best practice to import these into LF along with their respective metadata.

Will Import Agent help in this ...please let me know exactly how can i do this to achieve the above.

Afnan,

If you can import the metadata into a SQL table, you can use LF Import Agent to import the images and Workflow to populate the metadata using an SQL query activity. However, if there are more than a few thousand documents to be imported this may become a very slow process. The best practice that we have used is writing a custom script and running the process through the SDK. We have written scripts for other Solution Providers in the past, the fee is minimal. If you are interested in our help please let me know.
