Question

OneDrive and the Office Plug-In

asked on November 12, 2019

Hello - I am wondering if anyone has ran into an issue we are seeing at one of our customers. They use Laserfiche and OneDrive.

If they save a document to Laserfiche using the ribbon, any time they save to OneDrive after that, Word will automatically point back to AppData every single time.

So for example, they save to Laserfiche, then save the document to OneDrive. They now can't just hit Save again to keep saving changes to OneDrive. They have to manually browse back to the OneDrive folders each time.

I tested on my end with OneDrive and I do not experience this behavior. Once I save to OneDrive, it keeps that as my save location until I do a Save As and save somewhere else.

We have reinstalled the Office Plug-in but they are still having the issue.

Update:  They only use the Web Client but we did install the Windows Client just a little bit ago for a separate item and now things seem to be working as normal for this user. It is happening to a handful of users. Would the Office Plug-In that gets installed along with the Windows Client be different than the one you are prompted to install when accessing an Office document from the Web Client?
