Question

Federated Search Log-in Access

asked on November 5, 2019

Do you need to be a name user in laserfiche in order to use the federated search portal?

I was testing out the application with a user that is not a named user in laserfiche when they log in they get the following error?

"Sign in failed because the number of sessions has reached the licensed limit, or the user account has reached its session limit, or no named user license has been allocated to the user account. Sign Out"

Please contact your administrator to request the privilege.

Hi Ivan,

Please check your account in LFDS admin page to see license type of your account. If your account type is None, you will receive this error when access Federated Search search page.

Federated Search does not require named user license to access, this message is misleading and we will change it in next release.

Please check:

1.  Your account is registered in the license site where Federated Search is licensed.

2.  The license type of your account is not None.

Hi Ivan, please specify another license type for your test account. Account with license type None can not use Federated Search search page.
