Generate a TIF from a uploaded PDF from Forms to repository

asked on November 5, 2019

Hello, I'm new to forms, and am trying to figure a few things out.  I read documentation that when a PDF is submitted through forms and dumped in the repository it can be converted to a TIF as outlined in my link. I have followed the instructions, but does not appear to be working. I can import a pdf from the web client and it works as expected, but does not work with that same user from forms to the repository.  In my repository connection profile, I have tested with the same credentials as I found success with in the web client.  Can anyone speak to this actually working?

The settings you describe only apply to users in the Desktop or Web clients. Forms does not utilize those settings, so you cannot currently have uploaded PDFs converted into pages directly.

In order to convert those documents to TIFF pages, you would need a secondary process to handle the page generation after they are in the repository.

Typically, the best option would be Quick Fields with Quick Fields Agent monitoring a "staging area" folder for new uploads, running a session to generate the pages, then moving the "final" document to the destination folder.
