Error: LFS received an unrecognized or unexpected error from LFDS. [9536]

I have a customer that is getting the following error when trying to view a document (any document) even though he can still view the document. It also happens when he tries to see the Workflow business process details and nothing will show.

When I log in as our service account it does not throw the error and I can see the Workflow business process.

This started happening after a Laserfiche migration and upgrade.

Is this due to a user/group security?

This is on Laserfiche Web Client 10.4.1.35

This is also the event viewer log I am getting:

LFS received an unrecognized or unexpected error from LFDS. A support case was opened for this but we were still trying to hunt down the issue when the support case got closed due to inactivity.

I also have a case open with support.  Did you happen to get a resolution for this?  My issue is the same error code but it pops up when in the Web Client > Management and only on 3 users out of 23.

The error was not present for every user all at once. It slowly spread to more and more users. They have provided a workaround that we are testing at the moment.

Has there been any solution or progress made regarding this issue? I've also raised a support request regarding it.

No resolution yet, still working with LF support.  Though it seems it has been narrowed down to one AD security group that the particular users are members of.  This AD group is not used in LF but when LFDS queries the AD user it checks the users memberships then provides the error.  This error is also shown if I try to check Effective Access Rights for a problem user in the LF Windows Client.

Was a resolution ever found for this issue? I have a customer that is on 10.2.1 and seeing this error in the event viewer as well.

Hi Tanner, it appears that work was done to remedy this issue in Web Client 10.4.2 Update 3 and this fix was incorporated into Web Client 11. I recommend upgrading your system to the latest version of Web Client 10.4.2 (available via the Laserfiche 10.4.3 package) or upgrading Web Client to the latest version available in the Laserfiche 11 package.

I receive this error message in the Laserfiche-> ContentRepository-> Service-> Admin log every few seconds. We just updated all of our web client installations to 10.4.2 Update 5, but the error still persists. Any ideas of where to go from here?

We upgraded to Directory Server 11.0.2204.1467 and that seems to have resolved the error for us.
