Question

Cloud Custom Reports

asked on October 29, 2019 Show version history

Is there a way to create custom reports in current Cloud version?  I am only seeing the standard forms.

What types of custom reports are you looking for?

We will be adding custom reports for business processes within the Process Automation suite in an upcoming release. Currently for business processes you have to download the data from the Monitor page to report on it.

Hi Jared,

First, I'm sure there's a way to download the data for all instances like with the on prem version but I'm not finding it.  Second, I think customers that would need to create reports that would include most of the field data within a current step of the process.  For example, one on prem customer runs a report on all new business license applications at a particular stage in their process.  Then they export the data to csv and imports it into another db.  Thanks for your help.

Jared, I think I figured out how to accomplish what is needed.  It just works a bit different in the Cloud version. I can go to monitor, select my process, customize the columns and perform a Search.  After this, I can download the data.  This is the functionality that I am looking for.  I just wasn't looking in the right place.

Thanks again,

Jen

Yes, it works a little differently than on-premises for now. Thanks for the reporting example. We are working on implementing a complete custom reporting experience for Process Automation that will first match functionality we currently offer in Forms in the cloud, then will grow from there.

If you have any other reporting use cases, particularly ones that are more complex, please feel free to share.
