Audit Trail Best Practices for DB Max size

Hello,

Working with a customer who's AT DB hit the max size (10Gb) and they would like to know best practices to help keep this DB from hitting the Max.

I believe we could work with them to set a date range (90 Days) of data so as to keep the DB smaller, but I wanted to see if there is any official documentation on this process.

A date range would be best. It sounds like they are using SQL Express since it is a 10GB size limit you are talking about. If they can switch to a full SQL instance, that would be better.
