Hi,
I'm curious to understand the intricacies of LFDS communication and ports. We're looking at hosting LFDS in the Azure Cloud with the application servers residing on-premise.
I understand that the listening ports for LFDS are 5048 and 5049, with 5049 being SSL so the preference is to use 5049 to ensure data between Azure and the on premise application servers is encrypted (VPN remains an option but we want to fully understand the comms first).
I don't see any way to force 5049/SSL and all the documentation seems to suggest we need 5048 and 5049 open. Is there any way to ensure all traffic is sent via SSL?
I posted separately also about port 5055. I can't see anything anywhere to say what information is sent over the channel and whether it can (or needs to) be encrypted?
Thanks,
Nigel.
