Question

error network 401

asked on October 18, 2019

Hi all.

I created a business process for the user A.

Under the server Laserfiche and using Windows Client, the user A can run the process.

But from another computer (and still using the Windows Client), he can't and get the error below.

Looks like the user don't have a permission.

The error is a network error.

What kind of permission is this?

Thanks

This is not a Laserfiche-specific error, but rather an IIS error for the server where the Workflow Service (and Workflow Web Service) is installed. Try opening IIS on the server where Workflow is installed, navigating to the Applications for the Workflow Web Services ('Workflow' and 'WF'), check the authentication and ensure Windows Authentication is enabled for both (Anonymous Authentication may already be enabled for them, which is fine to leave enabled). Then, restart IIS and republish the business process from the Workflow Designer. Finally, have the user log out of the client in the remote location and log back in, then try it.
