We have a client who can connect to the repository, create new documents, and navigate and browse like normal. When they go to apply a template to a document, it pulls the correct templates in, but as soon as they hover over the drop down menu for one of the dynamic fields, instead of populating with their external tables results, the drop down says <Could not connect to the Laserfiche Server.>. Logging in as Admin on the client machine also returns the same error. Doing this same process on the server populates the dynamic fields as expected. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? We verified that ports 80 and 5051 are both open.

Connection errors like this are often related to firewalls or proxy servers interfering. Check for a router or firewall that inspects packets. If you can't find the culprit, please open a support case so we can examine the trace logs. In a few cases a wireshark or winhttp trace has helped us identify a router that is terminating TCP connections.

To provide the resolution to this for future reference, this particular environment had the Laserfiche Server hosted in Azure. They had a Squid Proxy server that all traffic was routed through that was blocking some data from going out to and coming from the Laserfiche Server. Allowing all traffic through the Squid to the Azure environment solved the issue.
