Is there additional information in the event viewer on the server machine?

I tried to attach a copy of the event log but that extension is not allowed.  Can I change the extension and then reupload it?

That "Invalid Connection" suggests that the server thinks that the user is no longer logged in. Is there a delay between when the user opens the document and when they are trying to view the pdf component that could account for a timeout? Does refreshing the page resolve the error at all?

There is no delay.  This was working until about two and a half weeks ago.  Refreshing the page does not resolve the error.

Interesting. Did it stop working for just 1 user or for everyone? Do you see the issue across browsers? My first guess is that a required session header isn't being received anymore - was there a change to network configuration that could account for that?

It stopped working for everyone and the issue is happening across all browsers as well.  We are not aware of the any network configuration changes.  We have reached out to Microsoft because this is taking place via a link to Web Access from Dynamics and that is hosted on Microsoft's cloud.

Is it just a link in a Dynamics page that opens in a new tab? It seems like it would be easy to run a test that removes Dynamics from the equation. And if that's the scenario I don't expect Dynamics to be a factor.

If you don't make progress with Microsoft I'd suggest working with your SP to open a support case with us.

We have a client that is getting this error now also, but from inside the Laserfiche Web Client. It started after windows updates were applied to the server. Interestingly the metadata for the affected files is not displaying as well now.

We just went through this issue or at least something very similar.  Turned out to be BranchCache.  Here's a link for how to turn it off.

I am opening a support case to get more information, 500 is not a descriptive enough error code to go on. BranchCache is not installed in this environment so that could be 1 of 1000 possible fixes to the root cause of the problem.
