Hi everyone,
We have recently upgraded our Laserfiche Client server from 9.2.1 to 10.3 and we noticed a change in how the accesses work.
Using Laserfiche 9.2.1, when we wanted to grant a group permissions to move documents to folders owned by other departments we would just configure the following access:
Rights:
- Browse
- Create Documents
Scope:
- This entry only
With that access users could move documents but they would not be able to see any document within those folders.
However, after upgrading, users with that access started to get the error below:
After clicking okay and refreshing the folder, it was possible to see that the document was gone (it had been moved, despite the error).
I changed the scope to "This entry and its immediate children" and the error is no longer showing up.
My questions are:
- Was there a change in how Laserfiche reads the access rights?
- What is the suggested access rights configuration if we just want to allow one group to move documents to a folder and not see what is inside that folder?
Thank you in advance!
