csv attachment don't have text

Hi all,

 

Using Form, I downloaded a CSV to Laserfiche.

I need to get text from this CSV but the file didn't generate text.

 

 

If I drag and drop from Windows to Laserfiche and I get the text.

 

 

So in my mind, the attachments from Forms can't be ocerised.

How can I get the text from a Form's attachment?

In Laserfiche Client 

Menu - Tools -Options-New Documents-File Conversions - Add CSV extensions to the List of File Types to be automatically convert when imported.

Now you access that document text in Workflow.

Hi Dylan

I ran into the same issue and I think I know why. The Laserfiche text panel your viewing is not the actual text in the document itself, if you open it in notepad you will see your text is still there and has not been lost.

The text panel is showing another bucket where text information can be stored, and the only way to transfer the text to this bucket from a .csv, .txt, .pdf, etc is using Import Agent or the Client.

My workaround was to use a multi-line text field on the form instead of an upload and have them paste their CSV data there.
