Error Exporting PDF. initializing helper Unknown error. [6000 ]

asked on September 27, 2019 Show version history

Hello,

Running LF Windows Client 10.31.502 on Windows 10 x64 1809 and 1803

With Acrobat DC v 19.008.20080 installed

Trying to export a file from our repository in pdf format. I receive the following error:

The details show:

Error Code: 6000
Error Message: Error initializing helper
Unknown error. [6000]

------------ Technical Details: ------------

LF.exe (10.3.1.502):
    Call Stack: (Current)
        ClipboardExportWorker
        ClipboardExportThread
    Call History:
          GetOptionString ([Settings]WatermarkIntensity)
           CAttachedRepository::GetProfileValue
          GetOptionString ([Settings]MinimumWatermarkIntensity)
           CAttachedRepository::GetProfileValue
          GetOptionString ([Settings]OptionalWatermarkUseExport)
           CAttachedRepository::GetProfileValue
          GetOptionString ([Settings]DebugClientHelper)
          GetOptionString ([Settings]ClientHelperTimeout)

If i change the export file type to tiff or jpeg then the export works

Seems as though the client helper is timing out.

This export works if it is run on the client installed on the Server 2016

This worked in Version 9.2

I've tried installing over top of the 9.2 version, installing via sccm deployment, installing manually.

Any help would be appreciated.

Never resolved.  My users just work around it (by exporting jpeg instead)

I had the same problem, turns out it's a MS framework corruption issue. No command line fixes could repair the damaged files, so I installed a new version of Windows using a mounted ISO (created by Windows 10 Media Creation Tool) and it fixed the issue. Just make sure you select to keep files and applications, and you'll have no issue.
